TRAINING
Training conducted in accordance with AS2550.1 & amp; 10, the National Standard: Persons Performing High Risk Work and the WA Act and Regulations as required by Worksafe WA.
This course provides trainees with the theory, knowledge and practical aspects of the licence required for competency in operation of EWP – Elevating Work Platforms – Boom type greater than 11 metres.
ASSESSMENT
Knowledge and practical assessment will be conducted to achieve overall Certificate of Competency to be issued by Worksafe Western Australia.

Principles of duty of care , WA Act and regulations, Hazard awareness and control, Personal and Public safety, Owners responsibilities, Operators responsibilities
Hire’s requirements, Pre-operational checks, Safe operation of platform, Stability characteristics, Safe work loads, Manufacturers requirements, Skill development and Shutdown of platform

Protective Clothing
Safety glasses, work boots and appropriate clothing is required for the duration of the course. Safety helmets and safety harnesses can be provided.
Duration
2 x 8 hour days for up to 6 persons- inexperienced
Prerequisite
Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
It is recommended that participants gain some experience operating prior to assessment. If you believe you have any special needs, (numeracy, literacy, reading, language, mental health & physical disabilities) alternate arrangements can be negotiated with NWTIS to accommodate. Please let us know either in advance or directly to the trainer so we can help assist you.
