CONFINED SPACE ENTRY TRAINING – CSE
Comprehensive Confined Space Entry Training Course If you’re looking for a respectable institution that offers several different courses in the resource and infrastructure industry, you’ve come to the right place. We are a Registered Training Organisation and, upon completion of our Confined Space Entry training course, will be recognised throughout Australia. If you’re in the northern region of Western Australia we can even come and conduct the course at your workplace if necessary. This course is conducted so as to adhere to Australian Standards, the Resource and Infrastructure Industry training package and code of practice, OH&S standards, and the Department of Mines Act and Regulations.
ASSESSMENT
There are two parts of the assessment process – theory and practical. Satisfactory completion of the assessment will result in a statement of attainment given to the applicant, issued by us here at NWTIS.
CONTENT
There are several different parts that make up this course, including:
- Learning the planning and preparation processes of working in confined spaces – this includes learning different terminology and the different types of spaces
- Understanding all of the different hazards and safety precautions involved, as well as different hazardous gases testing and identification
- Undertaking practical practice with the different equipment that will be used – including undertaking entry and exit procedures correctly, completing paperwork involved, etc.
- Finishing the job and ensuring work area has been cleared accordingly
Prerequisites: although there are no prior courses that need to be completed for entry, there is a level of English communication, verbal and non-verbal, that is required to undertake it, as well as basic numeracy skills. The applicant must also be over the age of 18 and may or may not have experience working in confined spaces previously.
